Seit den frühen 2000er-Jahren kommt es weltweit zu einem massiven Bienensterben. Über die Gründe gibt es viele Spekulationen. Eins jedoch ist klar: Wenn die Bienen weiter sterben, wird sich das auch auf die Menschen auswirken.
Der Filmemacher Markus Imhoof begibt sich in seinem preisgekrönten Dokumentarfilm „More than Honey – Bitterer Honig“ auf die Suche nach den Ursachen des globalen Bienensterbens und fragt nach den Folgen für Mensch und Natur.
